Smart Mebli: development of a platform for a furniture manufacturer with deep ERP integration

For Smart Mebli, a manufacturer of modern transforming furniture, the website is a key sales channel. Their business required more than an online catalog — it needed a full-scale e-commerce platform deeply integrated into the company’s infrastructure.
The main goal was to build a system that automates data exchange with the internal accounting system (BAS) and provides tools for ordering complex custom-made furniture.

Task #1: connect the website to business operations. Full ERP integration

A major challenge was eliminating manual data duplication between the site and the internal system — which caused errors in pricing, stock levels, and order statuses.
Our solution — reliable two-way data synchronization.
We configured automatic integration between the Drupal site and the ERP:

• Products & content: prices, names, descriptions, specifications and stock availability are automatically updated from the ERP.
• Orders: new orders are instantly pushed to the ERP for manager processing.
• Order statuses: changes in ERP statuses (e.g., “in progress”, “shipped”) are automatically reflected in the customer's account.

This created a unified workflow and eliminated manual data handling.

Task #2: simplify custom furniture orders

Selling custom furniture required accurate information from customers. Standard contact forms didn’t provide enough detail.
Our solution — a step-by-step custom order builder.
We developed a detailed guided form that collects all essential parameters:

• Furniture type (wall bed, desk bed, etc.)
• Desired dimensions
• Configuration options (layout, opening mechanism, side modules)
• Budget

As a result, managers receive structured requests, speeding up estimations and improving communication.

Task #3: ensure smooth migration and preserve SEO

The company had an existing site with established rankings. It was crucial to migrate without losing traffic.

We transferred all products, categories, and content, and configured a 301 redirect map to ensure a seamless transition for search engines and users.
