Taverna HoReCa Online Store
Taverna HoReCa – a hybrid B2B platform with personalized pricing and warehouse system integration
The HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, cafés) requires speed: a coffee shop cannot wait a week for cups or syrups. For Taverna HoReCa, we created an online store that combines the visual convenience of a retail shop with the powerful functionality of a B2B wholesale portal.
We developed a Drupal platform that automates workflows for different types of clients – from a small office to a large bakery chain – offering individual conditions to each.
Challenge #1 – implementing a three-tier pricing system and B2B automation
The main goal in this niche is to deliver the right price to the right customer without overloading managers with manual recalculations.
Our solution – dynamic pricing integrated with the warehouse system:
We implemented complex logic where product prices change automatically depending on customer status:
1. Retail: regular visitors see base prices.
2. Wholesale motivation: an automatic cart discount system works for all customers (from 3% to 10%). Moreover, the website independently calculates the user’s total order amount and, once a threshold is reached, suggests that a retail customer upgrade to wholesale status to receive individual working conditions.
3. Contract pricing (B2B): the website is fully synchronized with the warehouse accounting system. When a partner logs in (for example, a café chain), the site loads their individual contract prices for specific products. This allows automatic servicing of VIP clients.
Challenge #2 – accelerating repeat orders
Café owners order the same goods every week. They don’t need to browse photos of cups — they need to restock quickly.
Our solution – UX for fast procurement:
– Smart personal account: the “My orders” feature allows repeating a previous purchase in one click.
– Favorites lists: customers can create their own bundles (for example, “Weekly order for location A”) to avoid searching the catalog each time.
– Fast navigation: the catalog is structured by business needs (“For cafés”, “For delivery”, “For office”), saving time when searching for relevant goods.
Challenge #3 – logistics and inventory automation
The store assortment includes thousands of small items. Manual stock and order processing at this scale is impossible.
Our solution – full synchronization with the warehouse accounting system:
– Two-way exchange: orders from the website instantly enter the accounting system, while current stock levels and order statuses are exported back to the site.
– Logistics module: considering the client geography (Odesa), we configured specific delivery conditions: minimum order checks, time slots for the in-house city courier service, and integration with the Nova Poshta API for shipments across Ukraine.
Result – an effective B2B tool
The Taverna HoReCa website has become a reliable digital partner for hundreds of businesses. Thanks to thoughtful UX, business owners spend minimal time searching for products, and deep warehouse integration allowed the company to scale wholesale sales without expanding the management staff.
